On the shores of Ventry Beach, a fierce battle did unfold
The Fianna, led by Finn MacCool, standing tall and bold
Against Bolcan the King of France, They fought with all their might
For seven long days, their swords clashed in the sunlight Dord Fian, the Fianna war cry
Echoed through the air, Inciting fear bringing victory near
Steel against steel, they fought with might With swords and shields, Oisin's bravery, shone so bright He struck with fury, his sword ablaze Oisin faced the mighty King Bolcan
Their swords clashing, exchanging blows smashing But Oisin's strength and courage, proved to be too much
As he vanquished the French King
Finn, not one to be outdone, took on the fearsome Ógarmach
A Greek amazon warrior, who was known for her brutality
With a quick swing of his sword, Finn defeated his foe
And then turned to face Dáire Donn Dáire Donn, fell to his blade The invaders could not sustain
admitted defeat and took flight Finn, Oisin and their men were victorious tonight
And so this story, of Ventry's Beach
A tale of bravery, that we will teach
How Finn MacCool and his mighty clan
Defeated King Bolcan And saved Ireland

The Fianna 04:47
Hey yo, Hey yo, Listen My Name is Conan Mac Morna Some call me Conan the Bald Don’t piss me off Gotta Warn Ya I might just strike And, Put your head on a Pike So fast ya be mauled Educated, strong, romantic, like an action Hope the transaction got some reaction. My strength drops deep as does my purity When I was young waz kicked out without no maturity. I never thought I'd see that surety.
Ain't a soul alive that could take my security. A kind warrior is quite the quarrier. Beyond the walls of brothers, life is defined.
I think of love, country, loyalty, and brotherhood when I'm in an Ireland state of mind. We’re Pure of Heart Strong as a tree Our actions match our words An Ireland State of Mind Words that have actions, speak louder than gold, Through tales and melodies, our stories unfold, From ancient traditions, to modern-day dreams, In the heart of Ireland, a symphony beams. Through the whispers of poets, in verses sublime, We capture the essence of life beyond time, In every word spoken, a piece of our soul, Weaving narratives, our emotions unfold. With each heartfelt stanza, we bridge the divide, Painting pictures that words alone can't describe, With courage and passion, we stand tall and strong, Our voices echoing, like a Celtic chant song. (Chorus) Love of Ireland, a flame that burns bright, Together in harmony, we'll conquer the night, Through valleys and mountains, our spirits unite, In this land of heroes, we find our true light. (Counterpoint voice) We are Fianna Proud Fiercely Loyal True A Brotherhood Bound

Tir na Nog Is a land where no one grows old, A tale of love and destiny unfolds, There's a king seeking an heir to his golden crown, And a daughter who deserves a love renowned. Oisin, a warrior poet, Called to Tir Na Nog,
The king asked him to stay, Because his reign was way too long.
Oisin guided by shining love - Niamh was her name, Stands before king and court this day
Marry my daughter, become our chosen one, Together we'll write our story, under the setting sun, I'll pass on my kingdom, retire as the king, In a land of eternal bliss, where love will forever sing. He's a man of wisdom and grace, With a heart that's pure, a loving embrace, She's a princess, full of dreams and hopes, Searching for a partner Together to rule this land Oisin and Niamh, the Golden King and Queen (Oisin) So Honored to Rule beside Niamh
Their marriage to bring about a new regime (Niamh) Oisin will be an honorable King
The King's burden will now be relieved (Together) Together Forever as King and Queen
Their love for each other has been decreed
Verse 3
So the story goes on where they wed
Their love so true and strong
In Tir na Nog, they will forever reign
And the King's heart relieved in song

The Goodbye 03:18
Oisin: After three long years, I yearn to return, To my beloved Ireland Once a wanderer Seeking Now I rule with you B y my side I made a promise A promise to return I must keep For I long to see My father, friends and family I so miss my Homeland Niamh:
My heart is heavy, my love, as you prepare to depart
Your longing for home I can see is true in your heart
This longing you feel cannot be left unsatisfied
But I’ll stay here, thinking of you until you return to me Return to me Go on, my beloved, bring peace to your restless heart
Oisin:
I can’t wait to be home, to be in the sky, riding on horses of might
But though I must go, I want to know
My love for you Makes leaving so hard But knowing I’ll return Will pull me through darkest of nights

Niamh:
Go on, beloved, bring peace to your restless heart
May your journey take you quickly home and back to the start
But I’ll stay here, thinking of you until you return to me
I’ll never forget the love and warmth that you’ve always shown
return to me Bridge
Niamh & Oisin:
Wherever you may be, I know we’ll never be ever apart
This is my promise that I’ll keep deep within my heart

Niamh:
Go on, beloved, bring peace to your restless heart
May your journey take you quickly home and back to the start
But I’ll stay here, thinking of you until you return to me

Verse 1:
Niamh agreed to let Oisin Return to Ireland
She gave him her horse Embarr so white
Magical and swift, Embarr would be his flight Across the Silver Sea

But Niamh begged him please, don't let your feet touch the ground
For if you do, You will never ever return again to Tír Na nÓg Never be found

Verse 2:
Oisin rode back home,
His heart filled with hope, yet also with some unknown
For when he arrived, everything had changed
The Fianna were gone, his land was strange

Chorus:
But Niamh begged him please, don't let your feet touch the ground
For if you do, you'll never return again to Tír Na nÓg, Never to be found
As Oisin rode closer to home, things didn't seem right
The Fianna were gone, None were alive He couldn’t believe his eyes Everything had changed Ah Oh, His Land was strange Chorus:
Niamh begged him please, don't let your feet touch the ground
For if you do, you'll never return again to Tír Na nÓg, Never to be found Nothing but moss And broken stone When he found his home It was a different time
He came across some men, struggling with a stone Then Oisin heard a voice cry
'Help me to move this giant boulder free!' Oisin reached down To help and fell
In an instant, when his feet touch the ground
He aged 300 years in one second sound Oisín now old, and his vision gone
He Realized the truth, it had all been undone
His father and friends, have ong gone in time
Leaving Oisín to reflect, on this bitter rhyme.

St. Patrick 03:17
Oisín traveled across the land,
With a heavy heart and broken hand,
Realizing the time of heroes was gone,
The stories of Finn and the Fianna now just sang songs,
He asked the people he met on his way,
But all they did was laugh and say,
Those were just silly tales, never true,
Oisín's heart broke, what could he do?

He told them his story, of Finn and his men,
But they couldn't decide, if he was mad or it was just pretend,
So, They took him to Saint Patrick, the holy man,
Who wrote down all that Oisín's tale spanned In return, St. Patrick told him of Christ,
And the promise of eternal life,
Offering to baptize him in faith,
But Oisín asked, was Finn ever saved in the same wraith?
St. Patrick replied, that Finn was a pagan man,
And would suffer eternal damnation in God’s Hand

So Oisín stayed true, to his olden ways,
For he believed in his heart, in his final days,
But his stories lived on, through his words and deeds,
For Finn and the Fianna, will always be remembered, through the ages and creeds.

Love is Gone 04:12
My heart is heavy, my eyes filled with tears
As I watched my horse Embar return Riderless and alone
I knew in my heart Oisin was gone
Leaving me now alone To rule Tir Na Nog on my own

My mind raced back to the day we first met
Under the moonlight, when he swept me off my feet
But I never imagined, he'd be taken away
Leaving me to face the world, incomplete
My Heart, My Heart is Heavy I Miss Him So
<Chorus>
Oh Niamh, so strong and brave
You must rule your kingdom with grace
Though your love is gone, you must carry on
And face the challenges that lie ahead

But I won't let sadness consume my soul
For I know I have a kingdom to uphold
With strength and determination, I’ll lead the people
And keep the memory of Oisin alive and bold
For legends of great men and their deeds should be retold

Oh Niamh, strong and brave (Niamh) Their legends should be retold
You must rule your kingdom with grace (Niamh) Oisin, how I loved you
Though your love is gone, you must carry on
And face the challenges that lie ahead

Outro:
My horse Embar may have returned alone
But I will never be truly on my own
For I will always have the love of the people
And the spirit of Oisin by my side, forevermore.

about

I wrote this during the period of my father's demise from Alzheimer's. My dad found out from an Andcestry.com DNA test at 80 years of age, that he was Irish, Scottish, Danish/Swedish (I guess Viking roots) and English. This is dedicated to Peter Paul.

It is an ancient Celtic tale of Brotherhood, Family, Love and Loss and the amazing tale of Tir Na Nog, Niamh and Oisin, Finn McCool and the Fianna. Best description is a Celtic Fusion Rock Opera.

Should be consumed as one piece of music being it is an "Opera." I hope you enjoy it, I loved creating it.

Oh, all of the vocals were performed by me using Synthesizer V and that plug-in's amazing AI vocal samples.
